Getting to Vars or Risoul from Aix-En-Provence or Marseilles

Since the resorts of Vars and Risoul are nestled up at high altitude, they are not directly accessible by train. The nearest SNCF station is at Montdauphin-Guillestre, the only way of covering the 20 kilometers between Vars SNCF station and Risoul is by road.

Getting to Risoul or Vars by train:

From Marseilles or Aix-en-Provence stations, the SNCF offers regular direct lines to Montdauphin-Guillestre station, after which the journey must be completed by road. Vars and Risoul stations offer regular shuttle services by bus to get to the SNCF station.

The bus to Vars or Risoul:

Combined with a journey to Marseilles → Guillestre or Aix-en-Provence → Guillestre proposed by the SNCF, the bus is the best way to enable you to reach your favorite ski resort. Although, if you would like to simplify your journey, reserve a private shuttle with POM, and our chauffeur will get you directly from Marseilles-Marignane Airport or the station at Aix-en-Provence to the door of your holiday accommodation in Risoul or Vars, including luggage.
